Q. What happens to my fingerprints?

If electronically transmitted, your LiveScan Fingerprinting Record is sent to an FBI Channeler and then sent to the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) for processing. Your information is deleted after 30 days. This is to ensure that your information is processed correctly, and can be transmitted at your convenience, if necessary.


If your Fingerprints are collected to only print on an FBI-258 Form, your record is stored in our "Vault" for 30 days to ensure that your information is processed correctly and then permanently deleted.


If ARCHIVED, the record is uploaded to The Microsoft AZURE Cloud.

Q. Is this secure?

We currently use The Microsoft AZURE Cloud Server or a stand alone, off-line, in-office, external hard drive which is secured in our "Vault". Your files are encrypted at all times.


Q. Who sees my fingerprints?

Once your fingerprints have been captured, they are seen only by the Technician who collected the record and the immediate supervisor for Quality Assurance.


If Electronically Submitted, the record is forwarded directly to the FBI database for processing. We will only review your fingerprints if the system rejects them due to bad quality images.


Q. How long does it take to get fingerprinted?

It typically takes about 10 minutes from the time you are called, until all of your fingerprints have been captured.


Q. How much does a background check cost?

A good criminal background check should cost somewhere between $35 and $45 dollars.

The cost will go up by adding searches like MVR and Drug Testing.


Q. How long before I get my background check results?

You should get your electronic results emailed to you within 48 hours. Most electronic results come back within the first hour. 


Q. What information do I need?

You need a valid State or Federally issued form of identification so we can prove your identity. A valid driver’s license or passport is acceptable.


Q. Do I bring any documentation?

We typically don't need any additional documentation other than your identity documents.


Q. What payment do you accept?

We accept cash, or any major credit card (Visa/Mastercard/Discover/American Express).
